As a project lead for the Composting Consortium and the Consortium to Reinvent the Retail Bag, industry collaborations managed by the Center for the Circular Economy, Caroline drives initiatives that promote circularity for organics and retail. Before joining Closed Loop Partners, she was a consultant for an international consumer goods brand, where she spearheaded the development and implementation of a sustainable packaging and circularity strategy.

Caroline received her B.A. in Communications from Loyola University Maryland and her Master’s in Environmental Sustainability with a specialization in sustainable food systems from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Theresa served as the Zero Waste Director for the City of Boston where she led the implementation of the City’s residential zero waste programs, policies and services. Most notably, she launched curbside composting, textiles and mattress recycling programs. Before her time in Boston, she worked at the NYC Department of Sanitation as the Deputy Director of Partnerships where she established strategic programming for the agency’s nonprofit arm.

Theresa holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Science from Johns Hopkins University.

In her personal time, Theresa enjoys spending time with her new puppy, reading and exploring nature.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Olivia spent three years with Accenture, working at the intersection of sustainability, data, and consumer insights. She specialized in sustainable innovation and behavior, working across consumer goods, retail, and healthcare industries. Olivia also worked at Loop (part of TerraCycle), where she helped fast-moving consumer goods brands transition to durable packaging solutions for prefill systems.

Olivia received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Brown University, specializing in conservation policy and sustainable development.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time in nature, camping, crafting ceramics, and cooking.

Previously, she spent over three years as an investor at Moonrise Capital, where she invested in a mix of technology venture capital funds and late venture and growth stage companies. She started her career as a management consultant working with financial services clients in New York City on engagements related to revenue growth, product, pricing and marketing.

Akshatha holds a B.S.E. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and is a 2023 Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellow.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Renée worked as a Company Manager, an Administrative Manager and Executive Assistant for over 10 years. In that time, she worked for a variety of industries including manufacturing, accounting, sales, marketing, education, music and others. With a keen eye for detail and organization, she brings significant experience in calendar management and travel coordination, and a deep love of finance including expense reports, accounting and bookkeeping. She also has extensive experience with people management, customer service, general management, sales, social media support, organizing tasks and processes, contract preparation and much more.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Astha worked as Fund Administrator at SS&C Technologies for two years. Before that, she was at Reliant Fund Services in New York City.

Astha holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Baruch College. She is also a CPA.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Utsab worked in investment banking at Moelis & Company in New York and began his career at Scotiabank in Toronto.

Utsab earned concurrent Honors Business Administration (HBA) and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BESc) degrees from the Ivey Business School and Western University.

Before joining Closed Loop Partners, Ian graduated with his MA in Climate and Society from the Columbia University Climate School, where he focused on local infrastructural solutions that bolster smaller communities and promote sustainability. Prior to earning his degree, Ian held roles in habitat restoration, water conservation, sustainable food systems, trail work and other positions at the intersection of sustainability and biodiversity. He also has a background in the arts, holding a BA in Theatre from Butler University.
