Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Matt spent five years with Deloitte Consulting as a practitioner in their supply chain practice. There he specialized in analyzing and optimizing large organizations’ end-to-end supply chains, and he worked across the retail, industrials, healthcare, and automotive industries. Matt also worked at Dow where he analyzed the economic and environmental value of a new plastics recovery program for four separate stakeholder groups.

Matt received his BA in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan, his BBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management.

Matt enjoys playing volleyball, biking, cooking, listening to podcasts, and exploring local cultures through food and drink.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Georgia worked in Business Development and Marketing at Inspiring Capital, and has varied experience in other start-ups, non-profits and social enterprises.

Georgia holds a Bachelor’s in the Arts and Sciences (BASc) from University College London. In particular, she focused on environmental sustainability, writing two dissertations on the subject; one on the relationship between globalization and plastic pollution in the ocean, the other on Patagonia and Nike’s circular economic principles.

In her free time, you can find Georgia running around Prospect Park and reading.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Mike was the controller at ICV Partners, where he worked on both fund accounting and management company accounting for the firm.

Prior to ICV, Mike worked in the tax departments at KPMG and EY, focused on private equity and alternative investment clients. Mike graduated from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan with a BBA and a Master’s in Accountancy. He is a licensed CPA.

Before joining Closed Loop Partners, Anh has spent over a decade in the retail industry. Spanning roles from Sourcing, Product Development & Production to Operations and Customer Care, her work has led her to opportunities from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, her work at Walmart eCommerce created the playbook for Walmart’s first omnichannel direct-to-consumer brand, Allswell Home. There she led operations and leveraged key resources to successfully launch Allswell Home in Walmart stores.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Ray spent nine years with Macquarie Group’s Credit Markets Division, where he helped build and support the team’s asset backed lending efforts. This covered a wide array of sectors, including energy efficiency, solar, real estate, and consumer work. He has worked with both corporations and institutional investors structuring creative solutions to meet their financing needs.   

Ray graduated from Villanova University with a BBA in Finance and International Business. He also holds a Sustainability Excellence credential issued by the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Kate worked on environmental issues with the American Beverage Association whose members include Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Keurig, Dr. Pepper, and Red Bull. She served as Director of Sustainable Resources with The Climate Group, and as Executive Director of The National Recycling Coalition. She began her environmental work in Northern California leading recycling and environmental advocacy efforts with local community-based organizations.

Kate is a longtime organic gardener, supplying friends and neighbors with produce from her well tended garden beds and fruit trees. In her travels around the world, she always visits gardens and orchards to learn how others create sustainable beauty from plants and trees.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Bea worked at early-stage and high-growth startups across sustainable agriculture, land conservation and social impact. She was formerly at Agritecture, where she advised entrepreneurs and investors on the impact and market feasibility of agtech development opportunities, specifically urban and indoor farms, across North America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. She also worked in brand strategy at the Additive Agency, where she developed communication strategies for impact-focused organizations, including leading universities, hospitals and nonprofits in the United States.

She holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, where she conducted research at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment on the impact of renewable energy and agriculture investments in the Global South on land rights, human rights and the environment. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College, with a double concentration in Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Management.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Aly was an Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Company’s Sustainability and Energy practices. She has deep expertise in cross-value chain innovations and cutting–edge technologies supporting circular business models in advanced manufacturing, textiles, building products and consumer goods. Aly has supported companies ranging from early- and growth-stage startups to Fortune 50 enterprises with a focus on operations, investment and top-of-house strategy. 

Aly earned her Master’s from the London School of Economics and Political Science and her BA from Davidson College. Originally from the Midwest, Aly currently resides in New York City where her love for fresh pressed beet juice may have tipped the scales to an obsession.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Derek spent four years at J.P. Morgan across several groups, most recently working as an Investment Banking Associate on the Diversified Industries (Industrials) team in New York.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The College of William & Mary.
